POSITION PURPOSE

A MS Power Platform Developer with a specialization in Financial Analytics plays a pivotal role in creating, developing, and implementing solutions that leverage the Microsoft Power Platform to solve complex financial problems and enhance decision-making processes. This position requires a blend of expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents) and a deep understanding of financial analytics, principles, and practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in business intelligence, financial analysis, and the ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents).
  • Implement various ETL process utilizing APIs and Synapse Pipelines.
  • Work closely with finance teams and stakeholders to understand financial processes, requirements, and challenges, translating them into effective and scalable solutions.
  • Utilize Power Automate to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Create advanced dashboards and reports in Power BI, integrating data from various sources to provide real-time insights into performance, trends, and risks.
  • Collaborate with BI and finance departments to integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems and databases, enhancing data connectivity and automation.
  • Provide training and support to finance teams, enabling them to leverage Power Platform tools for financial analysis and decision-making.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Azure, Experience with Azure services and technologies.
  • Proven experience as a Power Platform developer with a strong portfolio demonstrating solutions in financial analytics.
  • Deep understanding of financial principles, analytics, and the ability to apply this knowledge in developing financial models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform and its components.
  • Experience with systems integration, SQL, database management, and data integration tools.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with finance professionals, BI staff, and executive stakeholders.

  • Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.
  • May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full time position. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

  • Must be able to travel to any and all field up to 25% to offices and jobsites without exception (including staying away from home if necessary).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • A B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Two (2) plus year's industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Network Administration role required; network management best practices and control, and IT help desk support is preferred.
  • Certifications in networking helpful.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.

  • Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
