Job Description Summary
The Laser Technician will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting/servicing a laser machine to manufacture certain parts for the PPI compressor product and to manufacture tags and labels for all of the Sundyne product portfolio, including skids and pumps/compressors. The Laser Technician will also assist in determining if other parts potentially could be insourced and made at the Sundyne Arvada facility.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate laser machine to manufacture parts for the Sundyne product portfolio.
- Understand and fully execute all quality documentation.
- Must interface with engineering, manufacturing, and customers, including 3rd party inspectors.
- Perform all required machine TPM on the laser machine.
- Utilizes safe working habits so as not to endanger self, others, equipment, or property.
- Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly manner to minimize unsafe conditions and maximize efficiency.
- Strives to maintain high personal productivity level and performs other related duties as assigned, as well as training other employees when necessary.
- Be willing to work necessary OT to meet shipping and customer deadlines.
Skill & Abilities
Required
- Ability to operate laser cutter machine.
- Proficient in using precise measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering mechanical drawings.
- Ability to follow written instructions, procedures, and IOMs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to work in a cross functional team environment across all departments.
Preferred
- Trade school, industrial or mechanical background.
- Background in CAD/drafting (including CAD applications AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX)
- Background in CorelDraw, Microsoft Excel, Visio

Compensation Details
Hourly: $20.00 - $25.00Additional Compensation
Hourly Rate for this position will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through the company bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Sundyne Relocation Policy.Application Deadline:
