Overview:
Our private practice has a fantastic opening for a Dental Assistant to join us! We are a private practice Monday- Thursday, no evenings or weekends! We have long term patients and staff and looking for that assistant who wants to grow and be part of our team that provides wonderful care to our patients. We use Eaglesoft software.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the dentist during procedures and ensure the comfort and safety of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, providing instruments, and performing suctioning
- Maintain accurate dental documentation and patient records
- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Perform dental imaging and other diagnostic procedures as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance during dental treatments, anticipating the needs of the dentist
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for procedures
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
-Current Registered Dental Assistant license in state of Washington
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
