Sundance Mountain Resort is Hiring a Retail Inventory Supervisor Near Provo, UT

Job Title: Retail Inventory Supervisor

Department: Retail

Reports To: General Store Manager

Rate of Pay: 21.00 per/hour 1% Commission

Shift: Part Time

Typically 4-5 shifts/ week 9 am 5 pm variable days of the week.

Availability must include 7 days/week. Weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.

SUMMARY

Contribute to a positive retail experience by assisting in the management of all aspects of inventory. Retrieve boxes, receive merchandise, enter and track inventory in Yellow Dog, prepare and tag merchandise for sales floor, and maintain stockroom(s) organization and cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Retrieve all incoming boxes daily and bring to retail storage (SMO or GS).

Coordinate pick up from PBX for UPS/USPS/ or FedEx carriers as established.

Assist in receiving all retail merchandise for the General Store, Online Store, and SMO.

Assist in receiving retail merchandise for the Deli as needed.

Communicate with General Store and SMO staff daily on the day's deliveries and what is ready for the sales floor.

Complete proper paperwork, count items, balance to shipping tickets or invoices, check for consistency with purchase orders, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor in a timely manner.

Track order discrepancies, contact vendor for credit memos or replacement merchandise, and follow through.

Ensure invoices are accurate, coded, and submitted to accounting in a timely manner.

Coordinate interdepartmental transfers of stock.

Update pricing in Point of Sale system as directed.

Support the Spa & Retail Operations and SMO Retail Managers' in quarterly physical inventory for the General Store and Online Store.

Remove any unnecessary packaging and tagging.

Maintain stockroom cleanliness and adhere to organized systems (sizing, counts, etc.).

Ensure daily inventory maintenance in Point of Sale and Inventory System.

Support the recycling program.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

Must be proficient in excel spreadsheets, managing inventory database, 10 key, internet navigation, and electronic mail.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
