Summary: Senior Civil Engineer designs and supervisesconstruction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, orroads. Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessarydata collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soilcapacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Senior CivilEngineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personneland material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. Mayalso assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvementprojects. Additionally, Senior Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree inengineering. Require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports toa manager or head of unit/ department. Senior Civil Engineer work is generallyindependent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complexaspects of a project. To be a Senior Civil Engineer typically requires 4-7years of related experience.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Professional Engineeringregistration is required

• Bachelor or Master of Sciencedegree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.

• 4-7 years of experience in residentialand/or commercial Civil design.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and otherdesign software.

• Expertise with civil analysis softwareincluding operating and interpreting results.

Knowledge of the disciplinespecific methods, practices and techniques required to engineer, design andconstruct land development projects.

• Experience working withengineers, architects, and owners, and the ability to understand all parts ofengineering contract documents.

• Experience performing onsiteinspections, leading progress meetings and coordinating with contractors andfield staff.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word,Excel and Outlook.

Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships aredeveloped, and able to provide interoffice execution leadership and support.
