This role offers an attractive starting base rate of $31.70 per hour.
To enhance your journey with us, we extend a generous $6,000 sign-on bonus for all newly onboarded team members. This bonus is structured with $3,000 awarded after a successful 6 months and an additional $3,000 upon completing 12 months of outstanding service.
Role Summary:
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the efficient operation of our computerized maintenance management system. Your daily tasks will involve logging time and materials through work orders and P.M.s. A strong channel of communication between the maintenance teams and departmental management will be essential to ensure the smooth functioning and upkeep of our systems.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of refrigeration machine rooms, refrigeration maintenance areas, and project spaces on a daily basis.
Demonstrate expertise in interpreting and comprehending plans, specifications, schematics, and operating manuals relevant to the managed systems.
Collaborate with management to develop standard operating procedures, daily work schedules, and maintenance cycles for refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Oversee and coordinate external mechanical and refrigeration contractors engaged in service, repair, and new contract initiatives.
Offer support to the building and material handling equipment maintenance teams, including participation in general repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and other maintenance tasks.
Exhibit adaptability by working in temperatures of 35 degrees or lower for the duration of your shift, and by routinely lifting 40-60 pounds to shoulder height.
Maintain a steady presence on cement floors throughout your shift, while being attentive to both verbal and written directives.
Possess rudimentary math skills and a grasp of computer operations.
Display the ability to read and comprehend product specifications, assess equipment, and exhibit fundamental mechanical knowledge. Showcase autonomy in your work and showcase leadership capabilities.
Commit to obtaining an OSHA Level A Hazmat Certification (24 Hours, Medical Certification) and Incident Command Training (8 Hours) within the first 90 days of employment.
Endeavor to achieve a RETA (CIRO) Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator Certification within the initial year of employment, culminating in the attainment of a Refrigeration Technician level III classification. Demonstrate mechanical expertise and familiarity with USDA regulations, plant sanitation standards, and procedures.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in Refrigeration, Ammonia, Electrical, or HVAC.
Education: Certification from a Refrigeration/Electrical Trade School or an equivalent institution, RETA - Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) Certification, or an Associates 2-year Degree in HVAC, Ammonia Refrigeration & CFC Certification. Alternatively, a blend of experience, education, and training will be considered.
