Responsibilities:

• Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and estimates.
• Oversee competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and value engineering. Re-bid trades if unexpected cost surges occur.
• Develop and manage a trade contractor/supplier performance evaluation mechanism and recognition program.
• Scrutinize cost codes by phase for potential cost-saving methodologies.
• Reliably report any significant hard-cost alterations to the Director of Purchasing.
• Investigate and validate invoices and variance purchase orders, ensuring compliance with Accounting department timelines.
• Keep abreast of building codes, innovative construction techniques, and evolving trends pertinent to the home building sector.
• Draft and oversee Bid Sheets/Unit Pricing.
