SunCoast Contractors Supply Inc is seeking an experienced Estimator to partner with commercial sales and other industry professionals to ensure a comprehensive budget is designed for our construction projects. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Determine customers’ project needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions. 
• Prepare estimates: material, labor, and cost for the product or service.
• Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product. 
• Prioritize and manage bids from vendors and contractors.
• Use bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis. 
• Prepare complete estimates using architectural drawings and specifications. 
• Present prepared estimates to management and stakeholders.
• Follow up on customer quotes, inquiries and resolving concerns.
• Analyze required documents, blueprints and project plans. 
• Coordinate with outside sales, project owners, architects and general contractors to prepare project specific door, hardware and keying schedules. 
• Collaborate with the other members of the commercial team through the lifecycle of a project on estimates, submittal reviews, change orders and overall material management. 
• Conduct business professionally, ethically and with a high degree of customer service.

IS THIS YOU?

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• In depth understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

• Previous financial analysis experience preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required:
  • Construction estimating
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Construction estimating software 
  • Materials management 
  • Blueprint reading
