POSITION TITLE : Referrals - Dental

FLSA : Non-Exempt

Under the direct supervision of the Dental Practice Manager, the incumbent is responsible for processing dental referrals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

• High School Diploma / GED.
• Dental knowledge preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing required.
• Must have good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to network with other agencies and private providers.
• Strong working knowledge of computer operations.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES :

• Monitors all dental buckets and assigns referrals accordingly
• Coordinate client referrals.
• Communicate with outside agencies and providers for this purpose.
• Maintain automated and manual records and documentation on referrals.
• Identify problems in referrals and inform direct supervisor for corrective action.
• Instruct clients on referrals and follow-up as required.
• Provide training for computer software for clinical systems including the referral and appointments.
• Other duties as assigned.
