POSITION TITLE: CONTROLLER

FLSA: EXEMPT

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Four years of experience in public or non-profit accounting preferred.
• Good Communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• CPA certification preferred
• Supervisory experienced required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Supervise recording of all financial transactions, track monthly receipts of cash, and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Oversee operation and updates of financial accounting software.
• Assist in preparation of federal, state, and agency cost reports.
• Assist in cost analysis of all functions and departments.
• Compile and maintain required work-papers and audit trail of accounting transactions as necessary to facilitate annual audit.
• Assist in the implementation of appropriate accounting policies, procedure and controls as necessary to safeguard the corporation's assets.
• Annual employee evaluations, weekly time schedules, and vacation schedules as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guide, oversee and supervise accounting personnel as assigned
