Minimum 1 years imaging experience required.
Facility is Ithaca, NY looking for a travel Vascular Sonographer.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vascular ultrasound examinations to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities in arteries and veins.
- Utilize Doppler ultrasound techniques to evaluate the velocity and direction of blood flow.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging protocols and optimize diagnostic outcomes.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, explaining the examination process and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification in Vascular Technology (RVT) preferred.
- Previous experience as a Vascular Sonographer in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing vascular ultrasound examinations, including both routine and complex studies.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to vascular imaging.
