ASL Interpreter Position Details:

• Location: Near Berkeley, California
• Start Date: 2024-2025 School Year
• Hours: 25 hours per week
• Caseload: Working with 1-2 students

ASL Interpreter Requirements:

• Valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0 or higher
• Previous experience interpreting in an educational setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, educators, and families

ASL Interpreter Responsibilities:

• Provide ASL interpretation services to facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and staff
• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and other educational materials as needed
• Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional development
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
