Job Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling services to students individually and in group settings.
• Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create and implement intervention strategies.
• Develop and maintain individualized plans to address the unique needs of each student.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives.
• Advocate for students and families to access community resources and support services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• State licensure as a School Social Worker in Michigan.
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
