Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our elementary and Middle School teams near Tempe, Arizona. As an Onsite School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in promoting the academic success, mental health, and overall well-being of our students. Your expertise will support students, parents, and educators in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths, needs, and learning challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and strategies for students.
  • Provide counseling services to students individually or in small groups to address social-emotional and behavioral concerns.
  • Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Assist in the identification and intervention for students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, or other exceptionalities.
  • Conduct crisis assessments and provide immediate support during times of emotional distress or traumatic incidents.
  • Facilitate and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings, to contribute to the student's educational planning.
  • Offer consultation and guidance to teachers and parents on behavioral management strategies and academic support.
  • Collaborate with community resources and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students' needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in the state of Arizona.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to special education services and student support.
  • Experience in conducting psychological assessments and developing intervention plans for students.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral, social-emotional, and learning challenges faced by students in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and fellow professionals.
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive services to a diverse student population.
  • Proficient in utilizing assessment tools, data analysis, and technology relevant to the field of school psychology.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for promoting student success and mental well-being.
