Job Title: Part-Time School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school's healthcare team on a part-time basis. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide essential health support to a student with a seizure disorder during both morning and afternoon sessions. The LPN will play a crucial role in ensuring the student's safety and well-being while also assisting in managing their health needs within the school environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Morning Session:

• Meet at 6:15 AM and travel on the school bus to the student's house.
• Administer oral medication if the student experiences a seizure lasting more than 5 minutes.
• Safely transport the student back to school.
• Provide health support in the classroom until 8:15 AM.

Afternoon Session:

• Arrive at school at 1:00 PM.
• Assist in managing the student's health needs within the classroom setting until school dismissal at 2:05 PM.
• Ride the school bus with the student on the way home.
• Ensure the student's well-being during transportation.
• Return to the school on the bus after dropping the student off at home.

Qualifications:

• Current LPN license in the state.
• Experience working with students with special health needs, preferably in a school setting.
• Knowledge and proficiency in managing seizures and administering oral medication.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed during emergency situations.
• Reliable transportation to and from the school.
