Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Early Birds Bilingual Program Assistant is responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Early Birds parent/care-giver education curriculum. The Early Birds Bilingual Program Assistant provides team support for ordering, classes, data-entry and tracking. This role also assists with public awareness, communication and marketing efforts and assists with Early Birds program team to plan, implement and evaluate program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Promote and contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures, beliefs, abilities, and experiences.
  • Demonstrate capacity for providing developmentally sensitive, evidence based, culturally sensitive, hope centered, and trauma informed services.
  • Assist with organizing program information and ensure it can be easily accessed by team and partners.
  • Support distribution of program materials and STEAM kit packing.
  • Assist with ensuring appropriate inventory management, including database management as needed.
  • Contribute to program invoicing.
  • Assist with program evaluation, including data collection and entry.
  • Provide technical assistance to program coordinators, including program planning, scheduling of classes, class registration, data collection, and delivery of materials for instructors and families.
  • Perform on-going data-entry for tracking purposes within all areas of the program.
  • Help recruit instructors.
  • Provide technical assistance for Early Bird classes, as needed to ensure program implementation.
  • Provide ongoing communication and participate in problem-solving with program partners and team.
  • Seek opportunities to promote programming and build relationships with other community partners.
  • Travel locally as required in the performance of responsibilities.
  • Perform other appropriate and related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or Executive Team member.

Qualifications


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimally Required

Preferred

Education

Associates degree in business, administration, marketing, or related field or early childhood education or related field

BA or BS in business, administration, marketing, or related field or early childhood education or related field

Experience

One (1) year experience in data-entry, office environment or customer-service.

Experience in marketing

Must be able to travel and work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance for any vehicle used in performance of job duties.

Other: Dependable transportation for travel required in performance of job duties.

Bilingual Spanish/English speaking ability to interact with children and families from multilingual homes

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently communicate with staff and others, and must be able to exchange accurate information when doing so. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, attend meetings, etc. Must be able to detect, discern, distinguish, observe, inspect and compare. Occasionally must be able to move needed materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

The employee will work in an office environment, may work in close quarters with other staff. Performance of duties in a remote work environment may be approved by the Chief Executive Officer All remote work is subject to Sunbeam policies and procedures including but not limited to remote work policies and expectations.
