POSITION SUMMARY
The Lighting & Media Director works closely with other team members on the Creative Arts team. They are responsible for the lighting design, installation, maintenance, and execution at all Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) campuses. This position also assists in creating and distributing digital media for weekend services and other events. In all actions, this role reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
LIGHTING:
1. Design, program, and manage lighting production elements at all SVCC campuses
2. Recruit, train, develop and lead volunteer lighting teams
3. Maintain safe lighting environment by troubleshooting and repairing/replacing lighting fixtures and equipment
4. Participate in creative planning meetings and work collaboratively with all campus production teams
5. Research, design, and propose detailed recommendations for lighting and production upgrades and new lighting plots at all campuses. Implement and install approved plans working closely with the integration team
6. Provide technical consultation and support to Campus Production Directors
7. Foster a shared SVCC standardized lighting experience and workflow throughout all campuses
8. Manage lighting budget
MEDIA:
1. Develop, review, and test media to be shown during weekend services at SVCC
2. Distribute weekend media elements to all SVCC campuses weekly to support campus prep
3. Manage media folders and backups across SVCC computers on weekly basis
4. Train and schedule computer graphics operators for the broadcast campus
5. Serve as the ProPresenter expert for SVCC, training all staff and implementing consistent standards across all campuses
