POSITION SUMMARYThe Next Steps Coordinator provides coordination and administrative support for training, planning, logistics, strategy, and curriculum for Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) Next Steps staff and groups. In all actions, this role reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives.This is a part-time position at 28 hours per weekESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvide support for Next Steps staff and groups, including but not limited to In-Home GroupsOnline Groups, On-Campus Groups, Men’s Groups, Women’s Groups, MOPS, FPU, Pre-Marriage, Marriage, Parenting, Abuse Recovery, Abortion Recovery, Divorce Care, Grief Share, and Celebrate RecoveryProvide support for Guest Services staff, including but not limited to Parking, New Here Start Here, Greeters, Ushers, Hospitality, and InformationProvide writing, editing, and revision of documents and correspondenceFollow the guidance of ministry handbooksMaintain clear and concise Next Steps Pathway and Next Steps Ministry calendarsReview budgets and manage billing and payment processes for various groupsProvide support for staff to successfully recruit, train, and retain volunteers as well as move volunteers identified with leadership giftings through the SVCC leadership pathwayEnter room reservations, scheduling, calendar items, registrations, etc. in church databaseProvide general administrative support for direct supervisor which may include typing, filing,copying, making and receiving phone calls, purchasing, credit card reconciliations, and other duties, as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent and earned degrees and/or other training that has equipped them for the duties of the role.Two years of administrative and/or project management experienceEffective time management, customer service and communication skills, both verbal and writtenSelf-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervisionDemonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for church leadershipTeamwork orientation and demonstrated ability to effectively interface with staff, volunteers, and others in a manner consistent with establishing and maintaining effective working relationshipsAgrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCCPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThree years of related experience in a multi-site church setting of over 2,000 attendeesPosting Created:Mar-18-2024
