This position manages a comprehensive claims management program for a large restaurant holding company that includes Workers Compensation, a Texas Non-Subscriber Program, General Liability, Property, and Automobile Liability to reduce claim cost and duration while increasing process efficiency.
This role includes:
· Oversight of TPA in the management of Workers Compensation and General Liability claims.
· Coordination with the brand managers and insurance broker to ensure the timely reporting of claims from the field to the TPA or insurer with proper supporting documentation.
· Assist in the claims documentation process and proof of loss as respect to Property and Crime claims.
· Organize and facilitate periodic claims reviews for all lines of casualty claims.
· Work with accounting department to ensure timely processing and payment of premium invoices, fee invoices, and claims reimbursement invoices.
· Coordinate with Legal department and the TPA on the management of litigation.
· Prepare reports on claims activity.
· Monitors the financial costs within retentions and works with TPA and insurers on claims that may breach the retention or are required to be reportable.
· Analyze claim trends with assistance from insurance broker to lower risks and exposure.
· Administrator for Return to Work process.
· Provide direction and oversight over the administration of the Texas Non-Subscription program.
· Oversee information and records to ensure that all documentation is created and maintained in accordance with HIPAA regulations, and to ensure accurate service is provided.
· Maintain OSHA logs.
· Partner with various departments to help drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification and assessment of risks throughout organization.
Position requirements:
· 5 years of claims experience within a corporate risk management environment or equivalent experience with an insurance carrier or TPA.
· Experience working with or in the Quick service restaurant industry a plus.
· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and reporting.
· Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Capability to work effectively under stress.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and with sensitive, confidential matters.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees internally as well as effective communication with outside vendors.
· Ability to prepare and present financial analysis and cost projections.
· Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Presentation skills.
· Professional designations a plus (CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRM, AIC)
Education and Experience Requirements
· A high school diploma or equivalent for entry-level
· A Bachelor’s degree in business and accounting
· A minimum of 2 years in a similar position
