As a PPS Service Technician, you'll install, maintain, and repair high-speed printing equipment at customer sites. Utilizing diagnostic tools and product schematics, you'll troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, manage parts inventory, and oversee machine modifications. You'll also establish and maintain customer relations, understand their print management applications, and ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair company products and systems at customer sites
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system failures using diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics
Manage parts inventory and territory to comply with established operating standards
Perform and oversee machine factory modifications and software/operating systems upgrades
Establish and maintain face-to-face customer relations
Understand the customer's entire workflow and associated print management applications
Maintain required interface with pre/post equipment and vendors
Schedule work activity to accommodate customer's working environment and end users SLAs
Stay updated on industry trends and competitive equipment
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years related field experience for Service Tech I or II
PC literacy and understanding of basic network concepts
Technical/Trade/Business Certificate preferred
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Proven electro-mechanical skills
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
Extensive knowledge of complete product systems, software, servers, and channel configuration
Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment
