  • Location: Fort Collins, CO
  • Status: Full-time, 40/hrs. week 
  • This position is mostly in-person but has some hybrid options

What You’ll Do:

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overall materials and inventory management. This person will manage procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, while maintaining quality standards. This position will partner and collaborate with staff across the organization to ensure a smooth process and positive experience for purchasing and materials management. Ensure compliance with any relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Implement the purchasing strategy. Implement strategic sourcing strategy to identify, evaluate and select suppliers who meet our quality, cost and delivery requirements.
  • Review, process and approve purchases across the organization.
  • Provide leadership and manage members of the purchasing team.
  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong positive relationships with suppliers and vendors. Build seamless communications with suppliers and provide them with predictable, reliable demand by forecasting requirements and providing appropriate lead times.
  • Review and develop procurement processes and procedures.
  • Manage organization’s budget.
  • Manage the flow of goods by maintaining current status and records of inventory.
  • Coordinate requests for quotes.
  • Explore cost savings programs through contract negotiation.
  • Build and maintain strong positive relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and driving performance improvements.
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs.
  • Build a stable supply chain.
  • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or improve material availability.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or related field.
  • More than five years’ experience in purchasing or related area with at least two years leadership experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered.

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare purchasing preferred.
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred

Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Wage Ranges

The typical hiring range for this position is $68,182 to $95,451 annually, based on relevant years of experience.
