Job Summary:

This position is responsible for testing water quality, adjusting it with chemicals and doing the necessary repairs for pools and spas managed by SummitCove Property Management throughout the Resort, while providing excellent guest service to customers. Additionally maintain the pool area in a clean, orderly fashion while assuring all pool safety rules and regulations are enforced.

Essential Duties:

• Testing and balancing water chemistry, maintaining inventory and transporting chemicals to individual areas.

• Adding chlorine, bromine and other chemicals to maintain acceptable levels.

• Daily rounds include driving to commercial aquatics areas to perform opening duties and maintaining private hot tubs water quality.

• Assist with routine maintenance of Pool equipment and automation devices.

• Removal of pool covers, cleaning skimmers, vacuuming of pool floors and brushing of pool walls.

• Maintain pool and spa areas including cleaning of the cover/deck, snow removal and other maintenance tasks

• Draining and filling spas as needed

• Rinsing and cleaning of spa filters, vacuuming out debris

• Respond to aquatics related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment

• Checking and reporting corrosion, cracks and leaks in pump rooms or plumbing

• Ensuring equipment such as pool cover rollers, skimmer covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order

• Logging and reporting faulty equipment or water quality problems to management.

Preferred Experience, Skills & Attributes:

• CPO preferred, but will teach the right technician.

• Previous Pool Tech experience preferred

• Ability to work in cold weather conditions

• Previous customer service experience

• A valid Driver’s license

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent

• Basic computer skills

Starting pay for this position is $24/hour. Starting pay may be above or below based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
