Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring Veterinary Technicians for our Surgery department

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing quality care and support for surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will play a key role in assisting our team of veterinarians by assisting in appointments, sedated procedures, recovery of patients, handling and giving medications, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid license as a Veterinary Technician in WA state
- 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
- Strong understanding of veterinary surgical procedures and protocols
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient in the use of veterinary medical equipment and computer systems
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery or sedated procedures
- Performing sedated procedures
- Assist veterinarians during appointments
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patients for any complications
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of all surgical procedures
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of surgery area

Operations:
- Surgery operates 6 days per week and shifts are varies
- On-call shift coverage is 7 days/wk
- 1 on-call shift per week Required
- 1 scheduled weekend shift per week Required

Benefits:

- Hourly pay range- $24.00 - $35.00 depending on experience
