About the team:
The Lead EVS Tech is a functional expert for all aspects of EVS and serves as a resource to other staff for procedural and technical issues, workflow concerns, and scheduling/work assignments. Performs various administrative duties
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- 2 -3 years EVS Healthcare experience
- CHEST certified or becomes CHEST certified within 6 months.
- Serves as a functional expert for all aspects of EVS. Helps improve workflows and best practices
- Coordinates and maintains staff schedules, addressing scheduling requests and changes, ensuring staff work on their assigned fulltime equivalent status, and reassigning tasks and assignments bases on the needs of the department.
- Assists in developing and delivering ongoing training. Coordinates orientation of new team members. Identifies training opportunities by auditing work flows and reviewing reports. Provides feedback to EVS Supervisor regarding individual employee performances.
- May perform cleaning and disinfection of equipment and areas of assignment.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives under the direction of the EVS Supervisor. Conducts rounding activities to ensure environmental hygiene in all areas assigned.
- Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.
