Summit Medical Group’s Central Lab is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to work with our staff of Medical Technicians/Technologists. This person will load primary bar-coded specimens onto laboratory instruments and route specimens appropriately, prepare and load slides on the stainer, perform function checks on centrifuges, timers, thermometers and the track system. Perform maintenance of some equipment, and generally helps the technical staff as assigned.

This is a full-time opportunity, working 4:30 PM until 3:00 AM, four 10-hour shifts. NO weekends or Holidays!!! Qualifications

Education: associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or related science preferred.

Experience: 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required. Some experience with Microsoft Word and Excel also preferred.

NO License required.
