POSITION OVERVIEW

The Plant Operation Systems Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation utilization of business applications and ensuring user training / familiarity with the execution of operational programs at our aggregate sites.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, make reports as needed for business needs and the ability to coordinate maintenance activities efficiently.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Center of Excellence Project Manager, operations, maintenance teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of preventive maintenance tasks and work orders and optimize sales and production forecasting tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fiix and o9
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and procurement teams to identify critical equipment, establish maintenance priorities, and optimize spare parts inventory.
• Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance equipment reliability.
• Set up Fiix at each plant site-specific to the equipment on site. The service intervals of the equipment on site will be monitored by either calendar days or hour meter readings.
• Add additional items into Fiix as requested by mine management. This can be 5S inspections, environmental inspections, cleaning intervals, belt scale calibrations, etc.
• Develop relationships with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers to stay informed about new technologies and best practices.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and budget proposals to communicate maintenance performance, accomplishments, and resource needs to senior management.
• Prepare and maintain processing plant models
• Provide transparent production scheduling based on demand forecast
• Research Production / Supply Issues to define risks and opportunities
• Manage production activities that provide analysis which drive business decisions relative to improving service level, efficiency and customer service via streamlining processes and cost savings projects (Continuous Improvement)
• Monitor production plan accuracy
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain and production plans
• Other project and duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of3-5 years of experience in maintenance management, focusing on preventive maintenance in industrial settings, preferably in the mining or aggregates industry.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is imperative to the success of this role.
• Overnight travel, possibly in the South Region
• Experience with the fiix program and / or o9 program is preferred
