Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative Requirements

  • Two years of commercial business insurance CSR / account management experience preferred
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Active Property and Casualty License
  • Personal integrity and team player mentality
  • Live within 25 miles of the office
  • Relationship builder who enjoys selling great products to protect clients and their assets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer-centric approach and ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Keen sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Proficient in using CMS software familiarity with HawkSoft/other agency programs

Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

  • Client Support: Provide top-notch customer service by responding to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and assisting with policy-related questions. Verify accuracy and order / issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements to deliver to clients.
  • Policy Management: Handle day-to-day management of commercial insurance policies: policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
  • Claims Assistance: Assist clients in reporting and managing insurance claims, serving as a liaison to expedite claim resolution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and updated client records, policy documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Quote Generation: Prepare insurance quotes for potential clients, assessing their risk profiles and recommending appropriate coverage options.
  • Policy Research: Stay updated on industry trends, insurance products, regulatory changes to provide clients with informed advice and guidance.
  • Client Education: Educate clients about their insurance policies, coverage limits, and any exclusions, helping them make informed decisions about their coverage.
