As a Head Start Teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a quality early childhood education program in compliance with all applicable regulations for enrolled children and families.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have the minimum of an associate's degree in early childhood education (ECE); or an associate's degree in related field (child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services) with 30 ECE credits. Must have the desire and ability to work with culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse populations, be able to work independently, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3- to 5-year old children.
HOURS & SALARY: full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday. Part year, 200 days/year (follows the school calendar) and Full year, 260 days/year.
