JOB
The position is responsible for providing oversight to several youth prevention mentoring programs with the Mountain Mentors program being the largest of these programs. The Mentoring Programs Supervisor will promote the program mission, achieve long and short-term goals and objectives, expand resources and maintain quality and effectiveness in all activities and services. The candidate is responsible for the overall management of the programs, volunteers, mentors, and mentees in accordance with Summit County Government; and Youth& Family Services organizational goals, mission and operational policies. This position reports directly to the Manager of Youth & Family Services
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervise all Mentor Programing staff and their assigned programsPromote program county-wide to recruit volunteers and gain community supportInterview volunteersMonitor relationshipsRun background checks on all volunteers and update annuallyEvaluate relationships between mentor and youthConduct volunteer orientations and parent seminarsParticipate and plan large group activitiesSolicit discounts from businessesOrganize fundraising activities for the programProvide incentives for volunteersProvide support to youth, families and volunteersCollaborate with other community organizationsAttend staff meetings, related conferences and training for professional growthAttend related youth-serving agency meetings Market and promote all aspects of the program. Oversee the mentor recruitment annual strategyInvolvement in Colorado Statewide Mentoring PartnershipWrite grants to fund Mountain Mentors programming as directed by Y&F ManagerComplete budget and grant reports for all programsCreates policies for the programsEvaluates and measures program engagementSupport Healthy Choices curriculum as neededSupervise the coordination and growth of the Drop Teen Center
