4th Grade Homeschool Collaborative Teacher:

Welcome to Summit Christian Academy! We are a classical homeschool program that delivers a collaborative model for K-6th grade, and a university model for 7th-12th grade. If you're looking for a program that supports teachers in effectively, to small classrooms of up to 12 children, and if you have a love for living out your faith, supporting children where they are and encouraging families in their homeschool journey, then this is the job for you!

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00-2:30

Class sizes are limited to 12 students, and there is no homework to grade. (Tests/Quizzes given in class for reading and math assessments will be graded and input into our online platform by the Teacher.)

Roles and Responsibilities

- Develop a 4-lesson/week pacing guide and maintain assignment posts in the online platform

- Teach Singapore Dimensions level 4, Writing & Rhetoric, IEW Grammar Fix it!, Memoria Press Christian Studies 2, and literature & science through Five in a row.

· Must have a demonstrated knowledge of 4th grade math and a love for teaching literature.

· Experience with Homeschool and/or Classical education preferred.

· Enjoys a positive and supportive culture that believes in home discipleship and loves encouraging homeschool families required.

Earnings

All staff are contracted employees and are paid $50/hr for a 32-week in-school calendar. No School for Fall Break, Thanksgiving week, Christmas holiday, Presidents Day week and Spring Break. All contracts are one-year renewable contracts.

Requirements

· Pass a background check

· Have U.S. Citizenship

· Currently reside in Colorado

· 5 years classroom experience teaching upper elementary students.
