Role description

That is precisely why we offer complimentary training to all CNAs who join our team. Our training program is designed to be comprehensive, aiming to equip you with the essential tools and capabilities necessary to provide exemplary care to our valued patients.

Throughout the training program, you will receive in-depth instruction that covers a diverse range of crucial topics. These include but are not limited to, patient safety, infection control, accurate measurement of vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and effective communication skills. Our seasoned trainers will skillfully guide you through both the theoretical knowledge and practical aspects of caregiving. This comprehensive approach ensures that you are fully prepared and equipped to meet the unique needs and challenges presented by our patients.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Providing mobility and ambulation assistance, including transferring and positioning patients.
  • Participating in ongoing education and training related to patient care.
  • Providing emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assisting with feeding and hydration, including special diets as needed.
  • Documenting patient care activities in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Communicating with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.

Qualifications

  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 and the flu to protect our patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation, as well as a willingness to drive to patient locations to provide care.
  • Physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist patients with mobility and daily living activities.
  • Clearing a criminal background check, physical examination, and drug screening to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and employees.
  • High school diploma or GED is a minimum education requirement
