JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities for this position can be summarized as but are not limited to:
- Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge

- Communicates clearly in an engaging, energetic, positive manner to all people - customers, fellow team members, and supervisors
- Provides outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Serves & engages all guests in a timely, friendly, & efficient manner
- Can work with & respect a diverse group of people
- Respect & uphold safety and hygiene standards
- Have the ability to work in close proximity to others
- Can add to our fun environment
- Sets a standard of performance that upholds Millie's Statement of Purpose: “Crafting Every Scoop & Every Moment to Make Your Day.”
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to maintain regular, consistent attendance and punctuality
- Available to work flexible hours: early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
- Compliance with the dress code policy that includes Millie’s standard uniform
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to understand and execute operational systems, platforms, and programs concerning but not limited to side work, scheduling, point-of-sale management, atmosphere management, and communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel, basic computer skills
Over the last few years, Millie’s has opened scoop shop locations throughout greater PGH, launched a food truck, started franchising, and began packaging pints to sell in local grocery stores. We’re on a mission to #spreadLove in our community through the simple joy of scratch-made ice cream. That means real relationships and real ingredients – always sourced from farmers & artisans and proudly spun into super premium ice cream at Millie’s Ice Cream Works™.
