Summary:
The RN Educator, Nurse Residency Coordinator partners with nursing leadership, human resources, and preceptors to assist new graduate nurses transition from advanced beginner to competent nurse, and foster increased self-confidence, increased competence, and better interdepartmental relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Formal Education Required:
a. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field required.
b. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.

2. Experience & Training Required:
a. Five (5) years’ experience as a registered nurse to include:
i. Three (3) years in clinical education or nursing leadership.
b. Instructional teaching experience.
c. Experience in adult learning principles.

3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Demonstrated clinical expertise..
b. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
c. Ability to assess, implement and evaluate education needs and programs designed to meet the needs of staff and others.
d. Demonstrated nursing competence through clinical expertise, education, consultation, and research activities.
e. Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving.
f. Proven ability in managing simultaneous projects to meet business goals and objectives.
g. Ability to use computer and audiovisual equipment.
h. Ability to work with the team, create plans and follow through for results.
i. Ability to be flexible and work as a change agent.
j. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

4. Level of Physical Demands:
a. Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
