As a Business Center Manager, you will assure the manufacturing process within specified Business Center meets objectives related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Develop and execute strategies that align with key plant/business objectives and drive the Business Center operation to metric attainment securing a positive trend forward.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Leadership & management role in larger manufacturing business center environment.
- Lead team of two salaried direct reports and total seven-member salaried team plus 180 manufacturing associates to achieve company goals.
- Ensure day to day operations are meeting company requirements and objectives in a 24/7 multi-shift operation setting.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement to promote lean and efficient processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Center with a sense of urgency.
- Review and evaluate Business Center budget requirements for cost management, capital expenditures, labor, production/operations, etc. Assure budget objectives are met.
- Drive initiatives that promote the continuous development of associates. Develop Workforce Planning to ensure ongoing succession planning within the Business Center.
- Create and implement long-term vision strategies for the operation that support plant and corporate objectives.
- Ensure alignment and adherence for deliverables to agreed expansion plans for department.
- Lead performance and set objectives of the Business Center Staff to ensure safety, quality, production, and delivery goals are being met.
- Create an environment promoting the growth and development of Business Center staff by assuring ongoing training, development, and compliance.
- Provide development and coaching of Area Managers, Specialists & Process Managers within the Business Center.
- Monitor and control costs & KPIs related to the plant including labor, materials, and equipment.
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Business, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years in a management role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in driving strategy with day-to-day operations to the team.
- Hands on, roll up your sleeves up style leadership approach.
- Ability to effectively multitask in a high pace and active environment.
- Experience managing in a Union environment helpful.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP or inventory management systems preferred.
- Scheduling and planning experience preferred.
- Prefer rubber/elastomer product manufacturing experience.
- Rubber mixing, calendaring, or extruding product experience a plus.
- High volume manufacturing of complex products in an Industrial or automotive industry experience a plus.
- Requires the ability to direct cross-functional work groups to achieve goals and objectives.
- Strong communication, business, technical, analytical, and planning skills.
- Project management skills experience a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.

The pay range anticipated for this role is $115,000 to $150,000 per year. Please keep in mind that this range represents an estimate based upon requested experience and skill sets. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, experience, knowledge, skills, and may differ from this estimate.
