Seeking Supplier Quality Engineer with technical experience to plan, implement and improve quality assurance systems and activities for suppliers/ subcontractors of Scottsville Components Division. Job scope includes evaluation/ tracking/ confirmation of corrective action responses and performance of audits as required (Corrective action, PK, systems audits). SQE will also support in QA skill improvement activities an initiatives.Basic Position Duties

• Responsible for the development of SEWS suppliers/ subcontractors quality management systems. Ensuring that SEWS’ requirements/ global standards are properly communicated and adopted by suppliers/ subcontractors (SEWS Rainbow System, PPAPs, SWS Global Standards, etc.). Audit suppliers to ensure required quality systems are robustly implemented and to identify areas for improvement (PK Audits, Process Audits/ QMS Audits). Develop annual KPI’s/ Objectives for SQA group.
• Responsible for monitoring supplier scorecard system and for identification of focus suppliers based on SEWS criteria for supplier quality performance and improvement. For Focus suppliers, coordinate on-site visits, supplier presentation of improvement plans and follow-up audits for verification of completed items.
• Responsible for oversight of receiving inspection systems and activities. Provide containment/ certification activities if suspect material is identified and ensuring proper suspect material containment. Oversight of supplier product MRB activities, supplier chargeback activities and other tasks as required.
• Responsible for supplier corrective action system including containment activities, issuance / receipt of 3D/ 8D documents, review of counter measure responses and effectiveness audits, including at supplier site as appropriate.
• Analyze and evaluate supplier/ subcontractor change requests (process changes, equipment moves, tool modifications, deviation requests, etc.), requesting/ reviewing/ submitting appropriate PPAP documentation per AIAG requirements. Includes issuance of Supplier Change Requests (SCR’s) related to supplier based changes.
• Seeking Engineer with technical skills to support terminal crimping process (crimping of terminal leads for internal/ external product testing). Provide technical support of crimping equipment/ crimping applicators, etc.
• Strengthen SQA operator skills (Toolbox training, Work Compliance Audits, etc.). Support of QC Circle/ PK activities.
• Provide technical support to SQA Receiving Operators/ PPAP Staff and others as appropriate.
• Other tasks as assigned. 

Position Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree, automotive quality systems experience a plus.
2. Excellent analytical, written and verbal skills
3. Experience with control plans, PFMEA, 5-Why analysis, 8D corrective action method SPC and APQP
4. Experience with IATF16949 quality management systems
5. Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft systems.
6. Position required light to moderate travel (Domestic & International)
