Job Title: Traffic Control
Overview: The Traffic Control position involves directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic around a work site.
Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
· Set up and tear down traffic control devices
· Flagging traffic
· Maintain a safe area for the motoring public, pedestrians and coworkers in and around the work zone
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Physical Organization and time management
· A CDL license is a plus
· Flexibility in hours – overtime and weekend hours may be necessary
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
· Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting
Other Preferred Qualities:
Position is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru April time-frame. Site specific locations may have varying seasonal requirements that can extend or contract these timeframes.
