Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director for our Montessori Preschool. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young children (ages 3 months to 6 years) to learn and grow.

The Assistant Director works hand-in-hand with the Director to manage all aspects of the School. This includes, but is not limited to human resources, parent relations, staff relations, marketing, educational programming and maintenance of physical facility. Assistant Director must always promote a positive image of the School within the community.

Hours: 9:00am-6:00pm

General Responsibilities – Under the guidance of and directed by the Director

• Uphold the mission and vision of the school
• Cultivate positive relationships with families teachers, state licensing authorities and community contacts
• Provide leadership and guidance to teaching staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health regulations and fire regulations and maintain a safe and clean facility.
• Maintain Children’s records and files
• Work with children ages 3 months to 6 years. Help/work/teach/substitute in any classroom, as needed
• Plan, schedule and coordinate staff and special events

Experience:

• Associates degree in Education or related field.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Child care experience, minimum 2 years. Montessori experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
