Breakfast Cook Part-time

Position Overview: This position supports the food service team in preparing meals for the SBSTA community (up to 120 people). The cook reports to the Director of Food Services (August - June, Monday - Friday, Subject to change seasonally)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare breakfast meals for 100 people daily (Monday - Friday; Subject to change seasonally)
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness to high standards.
• Participate in rotating dish station shifts.
• Assist with receiving food deliveries from multiple vendors. 
• Assist with food delivery to residence hall and academic site.
• Communicate via the various SBSTA platforms.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. 
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor within a flexible work environment. 

Job Requirements:

• Two years experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• California food handler certificate completed within 30 days of hire.
• Comfortable with seasonal schedule changes including working weekends.
• Comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job. 
• Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility. 
• Must have reliable transportation during all seasons.

Sugar Bowl Ski Team and Academy offers part-time employees competitive pay and a season pass to Sugar Bowl Resort.

As a condition of employment all employees must pass a State of California fingerprinting background check via Livescan and complete Safesport training.

Employment requirements for the 2022-2023 season include proof of full Covid-19 vaccination prior to the first in-person day. (Fully vaccinated is two weeks after your second dose in a two-dose series or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.)
