Suffolk County Division of Community Mental Hygiene Services is seeking full-time Drug Counselor to work at the Suffolk County correctional facilities in Yaphank and Riverhead.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must either have a current certification from NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), or possession of the requirements necessary to be designated as a Qualified Health Professional (QHP) with one year of experience or satisfactory completion of a training program in the treatment of substance use disorders. All applicants must uphold the OASAS Scope of Practice and the Canon of Ethical Principles.
