Successful Growth Academy is seeking experienced and educated Teacher for our center in Upper Darby.

Qualified Candidate:

• Must have at least a GED or High school Diploma (CDA or a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred)
• At least two years experience working with children in a child care setting.
• Must be 18 years or older
• No criminal background

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
• Help to implement weekly lesson plans based on SGA Guidelines and monthly school themes
• Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence while supporting each child’s social and emotional development, and individual needs
• Establish positive and effective family relations through interactive parent communication
• Appropriate and professional communication with fellow staff and management, cultivating a healthy and functional working environment that fosters teamwork
• Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions
• Work with a team of other teachers in the classroom

Job Requirements:
All candidates, who wish to be considered must meet the following criteria:

• To be considered candidate must have prior classroom experience at a childcare center or experience as a nanny/babysitter working with children under the age of 5
• Strong work ethic and communication skills
• Positive attitude and inherent love for young children
• Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds

Education:

• High School Diploma
• CDA
• ECE credits

FBI Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, State Background Clearance, NSOR Clearance, 2 Professional Reference Letters, Valid State ID, Physical Health Assessment, Health and Safety Training, Mandated Child Abuse Training, Fire Safety Training, CPR Certification, Betterkidcare Health and Safety training.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
