Success On The Spectrum is Hiring an Autism Direct Support Paraprofessional Near Bloomington, MN

Success On The Spectrum is a learning center for children with Autism. We assign one "teacher" (known as a behavior technician) per child. We teach the children to talk, pretend play, feed themselves, make friends, etc.

We are looking for playful, high-energy staff that have a passion for helping kids learn while having fun! You will lead the kids in educational activities/games and make sure all safety rules are followed. We also take our kids on field trips!

SOS will give you hands-on training. We have weekly team trainings and quarterly in-service training days. SOS will pay for you to become a registered behavior technician, obtain a CPR certification, and QBS Safety Care Certification.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work In Center Monday - Friday 7:45am-4:15pm
Two times per week, work in client’s home 4:30pm - 6:30pm (as needed)
Client material creation and preparation
Directly implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of BCBA
Incorporate sensory activities into the session (Arts/Crafts/Activities/Games)
Record client data into software
Convert appointments and write detailed SOAP notes
Attend weekly team meetings with BCBA
Attend Quarterly in-service trainings and team bonding activities
Cleaning duties

Salary: $20-$27/hr (depending on experience)

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma (College Degree preferred)
No criminal background
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to lift at least 40 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active for entire shift
