Tasks and Responsibilities of a Sandwich Artist :
- Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them accurately to guests
- Use the Point of Sale system / cash register to record orders and compute bills
- Perform the Cash-In Procedure, accounting for all forms of money, bread, etc., during the shift
- Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner
- Check products in the sandwich unit area and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift
- Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
- Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image
- Adhere to all quality standards, formulas, and procedures as outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual
- Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards
- Complete light paperwork duties as assigned
- Participate in University of SUBWAY courses as directed
Sandwich Artist Requirements :
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to bend, stand, and walk for the entire work shift
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Some high school education or equivalent
