Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Assistant Carpenter to join our team at Suburban Building Center. As an Assistant Carpenter, you will work closely with our experienced carpenters to assist in various carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plywood, and other materials according to specifications.
• Help in assembling and installing structures such as windows, doors, cabinets, counters, and molding.
• Assist with the installation of drywall, insulation, and other materials.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in carpentry or a related field preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior carpenters.
