Suburban Associates In Ophthalmology is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Arlington, IL

Suburban Associates in Ophthalmology, a leading Ophthalmology medical practice with three office locations in the NW suburban Chicago area, has a part-time and full-time Ophthalmic Technician opening to work at multiple locations. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing practice.

This position requires the ability to be scheduled to float between our Arlington Heights, Elk Grove, and Hoffman Estates office locations and must be available to work 8hr shifts on Monday and Wedensday, as well as, Saturday from 7:30am until 1:00pm.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Provide superior customer service to our patients

- Visual acuity

- Pupil and angle assessment

- Extraocular muscle and motility

- Confrontation visual fields

- Refraction

- Applanation tonometry

- A-scan / IOL measurements- preferred

- Dilation

- Diagnostic testing

- Assisting with minor office procedures

- Ensure proper utilization of time and movement of the patient throughout their visit.

- Triage patient calls and medication refills

- Hours vary based on office location. To include some Saturday AM shifts.

COA / COT certification preferred, but not required. Must have proficient computer skills, prior EHR experience preferred, but not required.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
