Position Overview
The Procurement Manager for the Marine Services group is accountable for the meticulous acquisition of materials, components, equipment, and services essential for operational efficacy. This entails adeptly orchestrating the entire procurement lifecycle—from soliciting and scrutinizing quotations to steering negotiations and contract development. A pivotal aspect of this role is assessing budgetary parameters while executing rigorous cost analyses and volumetric projections for both commodities and services. Furthermore, this position evaluates vendor reliability and pioneers the exploration of new supply sources when needed to ensure optimal procurement outcomes. By developing requirements and specifications for new contract orders, they lay the groundwork for seamless procurement processes. This position reports to the Managing Director of Supply Chain Management.
Responsibilities
Provides guidance and mentorship to the procurement team. Set clear performance objectives, drives accountability, conducts regular performance evaluations, and supports professional development initiatives.
