Assistant Store Manager (JEWELRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; BRIDAL EXPERIENCE A PLUS)
Reports To: Store Manager
Position Summary:
This position will assist in the overall management and direction of operations of the
store with a focus on the Bridal Department, including daily sales operations, providing
strong leadership, maintaining excellent customer relationships and developing sales
associate talent. Collaborates with Store Manager on executing at a strategic level to
drive sales, gross profit and development of sales leaders.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Provide leadership, training and team building in driving sales, excellent service,
and profitability. Lead clientele relationship program
Insure that all sales aspects of the store are conducted efficiently and in
accordance with the company’s high quality standards
Assist in managing and monitoring the organization’s sales plan to help ensure
ROI and that profitability objectives are met
Assist in coordinating activities of sales associates to insure attainment of
company goals and objectives
Facilitate staff development via recruitment and selection of service oriented
associates, providing performance feedback and fostering a positive and
productive work environment
Proactively generate ideas to develop business opportunities and maximize sales
to achieve or exceed all financial goals (Sales, Earnings, Shortage, etc.).
Establish and maintain customer service focus standards
Be a leader and advisor in guiding sales team in product knowledge and clientele
relationships with guests
Increase Bridal Department sales volume and gross profit margin
Assist in planning and coordinating special events and promotions.
Training on all areas of the bridal department including trade ups, warranties and
repairs
Analyze current Bridal trends and competition strategy
Coordinate display and organization of Bridal department
Conduct and supervise inventory checks and balances
Work with Marketing and Web departments to drive traffic to the store
Work hand in hand with all areas of Merchandising
All other store initiatives as required
Miscellaneous:
Qualifications:
Experienced in Jewelry Store Management
3 – 5 yrs. of high-end jewelry sales
3 – 5 yrs. of managerial level knowledge and experience
Strong operational experience in Jewelry Store environment
Strong ability to define problems/opportunities, and draw valid conclusions
Excellent attention to detail and merchandising
Excellent customer service abilities
Proven networking ability
Ability to develop, motivate and train a dynamic sales force
Proven measurable success in creating a team environment
