Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Hair Braider to join our team at Epes Studio Salon. As a Hair Braider, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair braiding services to our clients. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for hair styling and a strong attention to detail.

Duties:

MUST HAVE HAIR LICENSE

MUST HAVE CLIENTELE

- Perform various hair braiding techniques, including but not limited to cornrows, box braids, twists, and braided updos

- Consult with clients to determine their desired hairstyle and provide recommendations based on their hair type and desired look

- Apply color theory knowledge to create unique and customized hair braiding designs

- Offer additional services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and straight razor shaves

- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns or questions they may have

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use

- Assist with front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and processing payments using salon software (e.g., MINDBODY)

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in hair braiding through continuous learning and attending industry events

- Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on advanced braiding techniques

Skills:

- Proficient in various hair braiding techniques, including cornrows, box braids, twists, and braided updos

- Knowledge of color theory to create unique and customized hair braiding designs

- Experience with hair extensions and eyelash extensions

- Familiarity with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and processing payments

- Ability to mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on advanced braiding techniques

- Proficient in using salon software (e.g., MINDBODY) for appointment scheduling and payment processing

- Knowledge of nail care techniques is a plus

- Familiarity with makeup application is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
