STV currently has openings in ourPittsburgh. Philadelphia, Douglassville, Harrisburg, PA or Newark or Lawrenceville, NJoffices for Highway Design Engineers in our Transportation and Infrastructure Division.

The successful candidate will have experience in highway design including Highway geometrics, roadway modeling and cross section development, grading and drainage, erosion and sediment control, storm water management, traffic control, signing and pavement marking, utility coordination, and right-of-way plan development. Key responsibilities will include design and review of all phases of highway plan development for our various transportation projects.

The Project Engineer will assist other senior staff in collaborating with various transportation agencies throughout PA. The ideal candidate is an individual who desires to build and lead a team and possesses a vast understanding of transportation engineering principles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Successful completion of the PE exam
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with highway design
• Ability and desire to manage Staff/group
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to determine scope of work and prepare man-hour estimates for highway engineering tasks
• Familiarity with scheduling software
• Active member of our Client Service Teams supporting proposal development and business development activities
• Quality control oversight for highway engineering tasks
• Experience with PennDOT, NJDOT, PA Turnpike, NJ Turnpike Authority as well as other transportation agencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OpenRoads, MicroStation, InRoads and Microsoft Office. AutoTAB is a plus
