STV has an immediate opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Electrical Engineering Specialist in our Water Practice. Responsibilities include: Perform engineering duties in planning and designing electrical systems for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations. Production of contract documents including plans and specifications. Performs load and voltage drop calculations. Develops one-line diagrams and control schematics. Understands and can review short circuit, protective device and coordination studies. Prepares construction and design cost estimates. Develops project specific specifications. Responsible for project management, client interface and business development of future projects. Makes site visits during design and construction to inspect the electrical installation. Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent. Experience in water and wastewater treatment electrical systems is a plus. Licensed EIT. Knowledge of SKM or ETAP. Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820. Experience with 480 V and below electrical equipment (MCC and motor controls, transformers, VFDs, etc) and calculations: Conduit fill, voltage drop, transformer sizing, Feeder/conductor sizing, panelboard and breaker sizing. Experience with wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, electrical and instrumentation details. Ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. Course work in power engineering.
