Stutsman County is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Jamestown, ND

Overview:

We are seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment.

This is a full-time position: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain roads through operating a variety of medium to heavy equipment including various types of trucks such as tandem and dump truck, oil distributors, bobcat, forklift, loader, Blade, snowplow, sand and fuel trucks, crusher, chipper May specialize in operation of certain equipment during various seasons, may place and install signs. Operate air jack hammer, packer, router, rubber machine, slop bucket, hole patching machine.

· Perform repair on bridges.

· Oversee crews who perform crack sealing, patching or other maintenance and repair. Handle and oversee handling of materials related to similar activity.

· Maintain trucks and equipment. Change oil and grease equipment. Sweep shop floor and maintain general cleanliness. Perform various maintenance activities, including picking rocks, tearing down buildings, cutting trees and brush.

· Maintain records of work performed, including record equipment servicing, signs installation reports, and timesheets.

· Provide instruction, assign and review work of part time operators.

· Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position requires a minimum of 1-2 years related equipment operation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and a valid CDL Class A license is required at the time of hire. Knowledge of effectively working with similar equipment and supplies is important.

Pay: $22.74 - $23.89 per hour
